“Solglimten is our labour of love.”
I was born and raised in Vänersborg, just a ten-minute drive from Solglimten, and now live in Germany with my husband and children.
All of us are in love with Sweden and Swedish culture, and with Solglimten we have made our long-held dream of a house by the lake in Sweden come true.
The main house dates from 1956. We renovated all three houses from top to bottom together with our family, our friends and a few local craftspeople, with a great deal of energy and affection. We want to keep the nostalgic charm of that era – which is why some of the windows and doors are still the originals from 1956, from the years when Pippi Longstocking became known around the world.
Sharing this wonderful spot with welcome guests means a great deal to us. We hope that after your holiday with us, you will take a piece of Sweden home in your heart too.
