Privacy policy
This is a translation provided for convenience; in the event of any discrepancy, the German version applies. That version was adapted for the new site rather than copied from the old one. The reason: the new site no longer uses IONOS hosting, Google Maps, YouTube or analytics. The passages marked “to be determined” depend on where you end up hosting.
1. Data protection at a glance
General information
The following notes give a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified.
Who is responsible for collecting data on this website?
Data on this website is processed by the site operator:
Sabine BartlSüderlücke 10
24969 Großenwiehe
Germany
Telephone: +49 172 6589421
kontakt@solglimten.com
How do we collect your data?
Some of your data is collected because you provide it to us. This is data you enter in our contact form. Other data is collected automatically when you visit the website, by the servers of our hosting provider (for example browser, operating system, page visited and time of access).
What do we use your data for?
The data from the contact form is used solely to handle your booking enquiry and to communicate with you.
2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 44 Montgomery Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA. Before going live: conclude a data processing agreement with Netlify and add the legal basis for the transfer of data to the USA here once the agreement is in place.
When the website is accessed, the hosting provider records server log files, including the IP address. Processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in presenting our website as reliably and securely as possible.
3. Cookies and consent
This website sets no cookies and embeds no third-party content. Fonts are loaded from our own server; there is no embedded map, no embedded video and no analytics or advertising services. A consent banner is therefore not required.
4. General information and mandatory disclosures
Your rights
You have the right at any time:
- to obtain information free of charge about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data,
- to request the correction or deletion of this data,
- to withdraw consent you have given to data processing,
- to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
5. Data collection on this website
Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, the details you provide in the enquiry form, including the contact details you give there (name, email address), are stored by us in order to handle the enquiry.
The form is processed via Netlify Forms (Netlify, Inc., 44 Montgomery Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA).
How the data is stored: To organise our booking enquiries, we transfer the data into a spreadsheet stored in Apple iCloud (Apple Inc., One Apple Park Way, Cupertino, California, USA). This helps us manage the rental efficiently.
Legal basis: This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, where your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary for pre-contractual steps.
Retention period: The data you enter in the contact form remains with us until you ask us to delete it or the purpose for storing it no longer applies (for example once your enquiry has been dealt with). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
6. Data transfer to third countries
The services we use for hosting and data storage are based in the USA. We point out that the USA is not a safe third country within the meaning of EU data protection law, unless the companies are certified under the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework” or use standard contractual clauses.
I am not a lawyer. This version has been adapted to the new technical setup, but before going live it should be checked against a generator such as eRecht24 or reviewed by a lawyer – all the more so because this is a commercial rental.
